OK. This East Coast girl surrenders – Most of California is postcard perfect

This is my view from my hotel room right now.

A view that I might not have at this moment had I not surrendered. Without a doubt, I’m feeling pretty blessed. The word “surrender” takes on many meanings, depending on the circumstances.

Six months ago, when I embarked on this personal journey back to me, I came to the realization that it was not about bowing down, or giving up. It was more about my having faith that someone bigger and more powerful than me was in control.

I had to relinquish my uncertainties to the strength of my faith, that He would get me to where it is that I needed to be. The ability to surrender did not come easy for this stubborn woman, largely because the fear of the unknown is indeed powerful.

However, my faith and first-hand knowledge of the powers of the God to whom I pray, ultimately prevailed.
