LIVE YOUR LIFE ON YOUR TERMS
I can’t say those words enough – especially to midlife women.
I have encountered far too many people in my coaching career living their lives according to someone else’s expectations. Or worse, living their lives to mirror someone else’s life. Copycat madness.
As the saying goes, “Be yourself; everybody else is taken!”
We live in a world filled with judgment, filled with those who believe that it’s their right to define and dictate how everybody else should live, act, etc., and on that, I call B.S.
As I live and explore this Second Act of Life that I’ve been blessed with, I call it Primetime Living; I intend to live it on my terms.
And to all of my Midlife Women, Magnificent Mamas coming along with me, or those proactively preparing for this amazing ride, please remember to do the same.
- Wanna cut it, weave it, braid it, go natural, dye it, or not?- Your business.
- Wanna wear a two-piece swimsuit, or not? Your business.
- Wanna disclose your actual age or not? Your business.
- Wanna cash out your savings and travel the world, or not?- Your business.
- Wanna be a cougar, or not?-Your business.
- Wanna quit your job and start a business, or not? – Your business.
- Wanna Netflix and chill solo, or not?- Your business.
- Wanna wear an outfit that some may consider age-inappropriate or not?- Your business.
- Wanna nip, inject, lift, and/or tuck a bothersome area, or not? – Your business.
- Wanna drive your car listening and head bobbing to 90’s hip hop or 60’s Motown or not? – Your business.
- Wanna take up a new hobby, i.e., pole dancing, or not? -Your business.
- Every last one of these & whatever else that’s legal that you wanna add to the list is YOUR BUSINESS.
- Exactly who will volunteer to die for you? So why should you allow someone to determine how you live? And if you’re the one making the judgements-STOP IT.
We only get one shot at this thing called life, as far as I know, so make sure you are living it to the fullest.
Here’s your chance to silence the naysayers…
Name one thing that you wish other people would mind their business and stay in their lane about when it comes to how you (or others) live their lives. Then follow that statement with – NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!
