As much as we might all like to stay positive in life and see the best in every situation, it’s often easier said than done. Many people wake up every morning finding themselves in a less than ideal situation, unsure of what to do to change their circumstances. Even the most optimistic of people can feel thrown off, wondering why and how they are in such a dreadful predicament. Believe it or not, feeling stuck or unsure of what to do isn’t the biggest problem; it’s what you choose to do (or not do) next that can potentially be your biggest obstacle. Help! I’m stuck. If you know that you want to move forward with your life’s goals, that you want to see a change, then you have to to take measures to make that happen. First, you’ll want to identify exactly why you’re stuck and unable to move forward. So let’s take a moment to consider what some of the stumbling blocks might be. In other words, why are you stuck?
1. Your Mindset
One of the biggest things that hold us all back in life, without us even realizing it, is our mindsets. Even when you think that you’re a positive person, you may be the reason that you can’t move forward. Therefore, you need to understand what to do here to be able to move forward. Very often we are our own worst enemy. If you don’t believe in yourself, how can you expect others to? Self-esteem, self-confidence, and faith in your ability to be more than average are critical components. Without your willingness to tackle these areas of your life and strengthen them, your ability to move forward may very well be stifled.
2. Your Family
As much as you may not want this to be the case, your family could be the reason that you’re not able to move forward. It’s something that’s just so common in a lot of cases. When your family wants one thing for you, or expect something else, and neither is what you want, you can feel torn. However, you need to remember that this is your life and that if you’re going to be happy, you need to do what’s best for you.
3. Stress or Illness
Next, if you’re suffering from an illness, or have high levels of stress in your life, you need to address this ASAP. Stress can cause you to make a multitude of mistakes, which could lead to accidents at and away from your place of employment. If you find yourself in need of legal advice because of a stress-related incident, don’t take it lightly. Consider seeking professional advice from a known, trusted source or get a consultation here and decide what your next steps will be. Don’t allow your stress to affect your overall health, which could ultimately impact your ability to live the life that you desire.
4. Money
If it’s money that’s holding you back, you’re going to want to make a plan to get some. It’s really that simple. Money makes the world go round. Whether you want a better paying job, an investor for your business, a second job, or financing from the bank, you need to come up with a plan to make this happen and then execute on it. Your current budget does not have to be your permanent budget, so cease with the excuses and get to work!
5. YOU!
Finally, accept the fact that you may be the reason that you’re feeling held back. I’m stuck, and I AM THE PROBLEM. Maybe you simply don’t know what you want, or you’re afraid to make a decision that will improve your life. First, you need to figure it out here and then decide whether moving forward with this choice will make you happy. Sometimes to move forward, we have to get out of our own way. If your goal is to be a high-achieving woman, you have to define your purpose, identify your passions, then be fearless enough to explore the possibilities.
Your vision does not require validation. Believe, and you will achieve!
